Four LTTE cadres killed, two bunkers destroyed - Muhamalai
4 LTTE cadres were reported killed by the Sri Lankan Army in attack on two LTTE bunkers in Muhamalai around 6:15 PM on Dec 6th, 2007.

Four Tiger terrorists killed and 420 litres diesel recovered
4 LTTE cadres were reported killed in Vavuniya and Mannar on Dec 5th around 9:25 P.M.

Another civilian dead in Tiger Claymore mine explosion at Kebbithigolloewa
One more civilian injured in the Claymore Mine explosion at Kebbithigolloewa on Dec 5th, passed away on Dec 6th.

Five terrorists killed and a large stock of military hardware recovered
2 LTTE cadres were killed around Nagarkovil area, and 3 were killed around Muhamalai area on Dec 5th.

Paramilitary person shot dead in Batticaloa
A paramilitary person, identified as Sivathambi belonging to the Pillayan group was gunned down by members of a rival group, the Karuna group on Dec 6th.

NOTE: For numbers sake, and considering the nature of their work, I am going to consider Paramilitaries as being part of Sri Lankan Army. Since Tamilnet reported this death, I am going to put the claim under LTTE.

Claymore explosion in Kebitigollawe, 15 civilians killed
15 Civilians were reported killed in Anuradapura District in a claymore attack.

Youth shot, killed in Maanipaay, seven seek Humanitarian protection
A civilian, Velautham Kiritharan, age 27, was reported killed in Manipay.

LTTE ambush kills SLA soldiers in Vavuniyaa
3 Sri Lankan Army soldiers were reported killed in Vavuniya around 7:00AM on Dec 5.

Claymore ambush in Anuradhapura kills 4 SLA soldiers
4 Sri Lankan Army Soldiers were killed in Thanthirimalai, in Anuradhapura district around 12:50 PM on Dec 5th.

Body of male washed ashore in Chempiyanpattu
A body was discovered on Tuesday, when it washed ashore in Vadamardchi East area of Vanni Region.

Pregnant woman injured in SLAF bombing dies
A civilian Kamalraj Thanajogam, 18, succumbed to injuries sustained earlier during a SLAF aerial attack.

7 LTTE cadres were killed in a confrontation that occured in Narrikulam, Mannar around 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, Dec 4th.

Six terrorists killed, LTTE bunker destroyed- Mannar
6 LTTE cadres were reported killed in SLA strikes in Narrikulam, Mannar around 6:45 A.M. on Dec 4th.

Sri Lankan Army claims more LTTE deaths...

According to the Sri Lankan Military, SLA soldiers attacked a secret LTTE bunker in Muhamalai, and killed atleast 5 LTTE cadres.

Also, two confrontations in Vavuniya have led to two LTTE cadres being killed at Kanderpermakulam, and six LTTE cadres being killed at Umarawattuvarankulam. Note: It said on the press release, they were either killed or seriously injured. I am going to consider it as killed for the count.

Apparently, Sri Lankan Army troops, also engaged with LTTE cadres at a bunker at Nagarkovil around 4:50 AM, where four LTTE cadres were killed.

According to the Media centre for National Security 10 LTTE cadres were killed in Killali area during a confrontation with the Sri Lankan Army. Another 3 LTTE cadres were killed in Nagarkovil around 1:20 PM when the Sri Lankan Army Soldiers destroyed an LTTE bunker.

Meanwhile, according to Tamilnet, a civilian, a fisherman named Ariyanayakam Res Rehan, age 32 was shot killed in Kurunagar.

Sri Lankan Army Claims LTTE suffered great losses..

According to the Sri Lankan Army, while the LTTE tried to recapture Manthai, 35 LTTE cadres were killed, and 25 sustained injuries, and the Sri Lankan Army lost 6 of it's soldiers, and 20 were injured.

In the Vavuniya front, 2 LTTE fighters were killed while the Sri Lankan Army suffered no losses. A body of an LTTE cadre killed in another attack in Periyapandisurichchan area was also recovered by the Sri Lankan Army.

Furthermore, in another story, according to the Sri Lankan Army, an LTTE intelligence cadre, Suharthan, was killed in Pavattakulam during an encounter with the Sri Lankan Troops.

According to Tamilnet, a Sri Lankan Army soldier was killed, and 2 others were injured in a claymore attack in Oorani area of Jaffna.

Also according to Tamilnet, a young man named Thieventhiram Maheswaran, age 32, a civilian was shot killed in Valikammam area by unidentified Gunmen.
